Family Renew Community has been restoring hope to homeless families with children in Volusia County since 1989.
We have 32 apartments in Holly Hill, Daytona Beach and DeLand where families may live for six months or more, plus case management to equip them with tools to attain self-sufficiency and affordable housing. As of this year, we also have a homelessness prevention component to stabilize families in their existing housing.
Our housing programs require parents to be employed and stay drug-free and alcohol-free. We have served more than 1,400 families. Last year, we started routinely following up with the families who overcome homelessness with our help. A full 96 percent of families who moved out of our apartments since Jan. 1, 2017, were in stable housing when we checked on them in July.
A faith-based nonprofit organization, Family Renew brings together 22 religious congregations for the mission of helping families experiencing homelessness.
Family Renew Community is a United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties community impact partner. Donations are tax-deductible.
